Squirrels

Welcome to the Squirrel page of the Lisburn and District website. We hope this page will help to tell you more about what we are all about and encourage you to come and join us. The photographs on this webpage will give you a flavour of what the section is all about.
Squirrels are members of the Squirrel Association which from January 2009 is now affiliated to the NI Scout Council. They are young people aged 4 - 6years, who when they meet collectively are known as a Squirrel Drey. Young people can join Squirrels on their fourth birthday. They can move to the next Section, Beaver Scouts, when they are six.
The Squirrel uniform consists of a navy crewneck sweatshirt with grey shorts or a grey skirt, grey knee socks and a scarf.
Squirrels enjoy making friends, playing games, singing, making things, listening to stories, and miming, being creative and learning about themselves.
All of the Squirrel Dreys in Lisburn and District area usually meet together once a week.
If you would like your children to take part in the fun of Scouting as a Squirrel, or if you would like to help out as an adult Leader or helper, please feel free to contact the local team at squirrelsadc@lisburndistrictscouts.org.uk
