Closing date for the Scout Fire Safety Badge is the 5th October 2007.
Chubb fire are offering Scouts the chance to win £500 to put towards a
Group outdoor activity and the winning design will be published as Chubb's

6th October
2007 - 1st NI Network Dinner
Invitations are extended by the NI Network team to all Network
age scouts or District young leaders to attend the first annual NI Network
dinner at Masserene Golf Club Antrim on Saturday 6th October 2007. Tickets
can be obtained from Kai Young (07740 464047), Simon Trimble (07775
857527) or Jayne Logan (07921 395752) at a cost of £30. The dinner
promises to follow on the tradition of the now legendary Venture Scout
formals - everybody asleep by 9.30pm then!

Scout and Explorer Sailing and Canoeing championships take place
at Ballyronan Marina, Lough Neagh on the 6th October 2007. Any Troop /

District leaders meeting to be held in St Marks Ballymacash
starting at 8.00pm. At this meeting we are getting a talk from Eric Rainey
re the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme. Uniform please and the meeting will last
no more than 1½ hours.

Any District Beaver Colony wishing to attend the NI Beaver Zoo day on the

District First response course to be held at St Marks,
Ballymacash. Start and end times are 9.30am and 3.30pm respectively
with 45 mins for lunch. Cost per person is £10 each with lunch
specially made by Granny Beaver included. Anybody wishing to
attending please let either the DC or your section ADC know by the 1st October 2007 as the maximum number of
participants is 15 and update will be great amongst our new
leaders. A further course will be run on 26th January 2008. |
